the problem of using nuclear power has become a burning issue throughtout the world. Some people say that nuclear is useful like a key for us to open a new world while oponents believe that the development of it put our world in danger. My essay will discuss both sides of this controversial issue.

Firstly, it is claimed that nuclear power is very useful in terms of economy because of huge and powerful energy. It is obvious that nuclear power provides large proportion of world's energy, especially world's electricity. Besides, proponents of nuclear energy contentd that nuclear power is sustainable enery source that reduces carbon emission and decrease dependence on imported source like fuel or coat. Moreover, if a country invest in producing nuclear weapons, thieir security will be guaranteed. The threats of being attacked by hostiles are reduced because the country's defense by nuclear weapons makes them scared.

On the other hand, the development of nuclear power technology poses many threats to our life. The first threat concerns its radioactive waste, which can pollutes air, water, land and many elements of our environment. People who are exposed to live in the area affected by nuclear waste can easily contract cancer and many other dangerous diseases. It takes many time to eliminate the risk of this radioactie waste in humanlife. In addition, people hav to spend a huge amount of investment setting up nuclear power station, as a result, they do not have enough money to boost economy and enhance living standard. For example, North Korea, which has allocated more than 70% of its national budget for army, especially for nuclear weapon has faced financial recession and appealed for fiscal assistance from the international community. It is undeniable that, no sooner has nuclear weapon been developed it will put our world's peace in danger. Moreover, nuclear power industry implicates high risk of accident. There thousand of people lost their living due to nuclear accidents over the past decade.

In other words, there are both pros and cons in the issue of nuclear power. It forces the government to find the adequate sollutions to reduce negative effect of nuclear energy if they want to develop this industry.
