The public remains divided over the importance of different news sources. While many advocate that newspapers are undoubtedly the best way to stay updated, others think that people can keep up with the news through other sources. I personally lean towards the latter view.

On the one hand, it is justifiable to say that printed newspapers are the most effective way to acknowledge current affairs around the world. First of all, they are more reliable than any other sources of information. This is because they are written by professional journalists, and then are thoroughly checked and edited before printing. Resultantly, readers are not inclined to misleading information, which is ubiquitous on the Internet.

On the other hand, I believe that other news sources, such as televisions, news websites or news apps, are superior to conventional newspapers in terms of many aspects. Undoubtedly, people can easily access an unlimited amount of information on the Internet in the blink of an eye. Therefore, it would take newsreaders much less time to stay updated in a matter of minutes or even seconds. Additionally, with constant technological advancements, online news offers people great reading experiences since there are frequently videos or clips included in articles.  For instance, if people read an article about how to make a particular item, it would be really hard for them to comprehend that process without the help of illustrative images or videos.

In conclusion, while printed newspapers offer people certain merits such as the validity of information, I am convinced that they are inferior to other news sources in terms of keeping readers up-to-the-minute along with giving them better reading experiences.
