Mobile  phones have taken over the world, and this should not be happening in schools. The dangers of mobile phones in school are becoming more and more a topic of concern.

It is an obvious fact that when students are in class and texting on their phones, they will be distracted, not paying attention to the lesson. Not to mention how phones affect students' emotions: stress levels go up instead of decreasing, as do feelings of depression. Mobile phones can make them lazy with homework. Studies show that students spend an average of an hour and a half more on homework after getting home than students who are not regularly distracted by technology.

In addition, students are using their mobile phones to cheat. Many students use instant messengers such as Facebook or Twitter to look up answers for school tests or quizzes.

Furthermore, school violence is always a matter of concern and if students are allowed to use mobile phones in school, I think there will be a problem of cyberbullying. A recent study found that more than half of all teens have been bullied online. Additionally, about 18% of children admitted that they had caught other students through social networks.

All this already shows the negative impact the cell phone has on study habits. Not only does it harm them while they are in school but outside of school as well.
