Cultural integration is a heated issue. While many people think that instead of going to other countries to learn cultures, we can learn from films, internet and books, I strongly disagree with this opinion.

In the world where technology is motivated day by day, by surfing the internet in your very room, you can learn about the languages and culture, visit to many famous scenic in a country where is thousands of miles away from you. We can also learn by reading books or watching TV. It is a good choice to learn foreign cultures without wasting your time or money. Besides, thanks to Studying online, you can control your timetable to join a part-time job or spend it on playing with your friends.

However, going to other countries to learn cultures is necessary.  Firstly, by dint of people travelling to other land, tourism is motivated, followed by the economic development and the reduction in the unemployment. Secondly, with people understanding the other’s culture, political situation is expected to get better. It opens up many opportunities of working and studying oversea to citizens of both countries by the International Student Exchange Programs. Psychologically, by virtue of social contact, people can become more confident, ebullient. Besides, by listening or seeing directly, people learn comprehensively, fully, exactly instead of learning from some untested information sources in the Internet.

In conclusion, I’m quite sure that studying directly is always better than studying by the Internet, newspapers or films.

@havmu: in my opinion, i think it's better to write "which can not be inspired adequately by films, books or newspapers". And I think your essay isn't enough 250 words, right? :D
Great new week!
@JeanyLe, yep, because, I tried my best to write it, but I don't have any idea for this topic, :( I need to practise more

hi JeanyLe

"visit to many famous scenic in a country"

I think scenic is a very good word to describe beautiful natural sceneries. However, it is an ADJ so that you can not use it that way.

here's my suggestion:
"visit many scenically attractive areas/places in a country"

It argue that instead of  traveling to oversea country  to learn about their culture people could learn that from flims, the internet and books  . Personally, I would complete disagree with this opition for a number of reasons.

To begin with, Traveling to a foreign nation is always to advantageous to experience a different culture even for a short period of time. One day abroad is one day learn.Hence, travellers alway have better understanding about the outside world than those who  just learn fogeign cultural value through book  and media. They also tend to behave more tolerant to other group of people. This trend could stimulate culture exchage and encourage  cultural diversity in the world that we are living in.

On the other hand, Some peple may agrue that travel to learn about new culture seem to be waste money and strength. The availability of information from books and the internet have allowed people to access the local customs with no cost.  However this option is flawed because study through books and media would not be as effective as learning with the locals . For stance, learing Aloha dance (cheeky ) through videos and pictures would not be as thorough as learing with the locals. By interacting with them, learners could have more chance to practise and enrich their knowledge. While it hard to be achieved by study  through media and internet  due to the constraint of motivation and facilities

In conclusion, I firmly hold the view that travelling in oversea country is the best way to learn about new cultures. \

Thank you for feedback on my essay
@ Thekia: Do you have another word to replaced ??
@ kimtainnang I edit it
The ideas sound great. I think your essay would be better if you use:
It is argued that instead of traveling to oversea country......., instead of it argue that...
Some recommendations:
It "argues"; comma after "their culture"; "I would completely disagree with this opinion"; "always"; "better understanding ....than learning..." (this is comparison between understanding and learning, not to people); "no cost" (try some more quite formal: costlessness, commercial free);
Totally, some mistakes of word, need to be clearer in the idea and examples.

Some people claim that we are able to learn different cultures of other countries from books, films and the Internet without having to go overseas to achieve these valuable knowledge. Personally, I strongly disagree with this idea for several reasons, as will now be explained.

On the one hand, the prevalence of the Internet, books and films in the modern world provide us a great source of cultural knowledge. Thus we have easily access to various programs and websites which enrich our understanding and awareness of other cultures just by staying at home. For example, a series of sitcom “Friends” show us the clear images of lifestyles and behavioral manners of American. Therefore, it helps us how to communicate properly with foreign people.

However, it is true that travelling overseas to experience cultures at the host country is costly and time-consuming, but it is advantageous to people for the following reasons. Firstly, people will have more chances to absorb first-hand information that is much more reliable than that from the Internet. For example, we are always allured by luxurious items and good-looking appearance of actors and actresses from Korean films, but we do not know that only wealthy people living there afford that lifestyle. Furthermore, learning cultures by travelling is beneficial for cultural exchange and increasing relationship between countries. People who travel and immerse themselves with new things in other countries would be more open-minded and more tolerant with exotic cultures than those who only learn that from books, films and Internet.

It seems to me that travelling to other countries to gain cultural value is beneficial than by studying through sources of information in their own country.

A wide range of vocabulary has been used :) Well done
i suppose that you should use 'In clonclusion', 'To sum up' in the conclusion....and 'more beneficial' not 'beneficial'...you should also use more academic words for a higher brand. however your essay is still very good....about 6.0
Dear kimtainang :)
Your essay is quite good
But I think you've made a mistake
- In the last sentence, "benefical" should be "more beneficial"
And about the arguments, I think that the first paragraph should add more controlling ideas.
That's all I want to share :)

There is an argument that people who want to study foreign cultures can stay at their country and learn from reference resources as movies and books or the internet. While I believe that this is a good way to expand human's horizons about various countries, I also think that traveling abroad still plays a vital role in discovering new cultures.

It cannot be denied that books, films and the internet enable people to widen their horizons about foreign cultures without traveling abroad. In fact, thanks to innovations in information technology, nowadays, the internet is available for a huge range of information including knowledgeable information about cultures around the world. Similarly, various books and films relating to cultural knowledge and travel that have been published and produced, which are helpful materials for whom loves tourism. What I want to emphasize is that those kinds of information resources can open an avenue for people with insufficient time and money for traveling oversea.

On the other hand, many people in favor of traveling abroad argue that experience of foreign cultures from real trips to other countries is much more precious than cultural knowledge from books, movies or websites. In fact, it is much more easy in order to learn new cultures when people can  experience from the reality rather than learning from reference materials. People could know that Vietnamese cuisines are very delicious as many authors describe in travel books, however, they could not have the real tastes of Vietnamese foods if they do not go to Vietnam. Additionally, people might not feel that how beautiful Vietnamese cultures in Tet holiday unless they enjoy this holiday with Vietnamese.

In conclusion, I think that it is better if people can learn other cultures from reading reference resources as well as traveling to foreign countries.

I will be very happy when I get your comments!

some words:
"it can not be denied = it is undeniable"
and, if you give some specific examples, should tell something bigger than Vietnamese because our country is so small at some aspects you have mentioned, try Chinese cuisine and their sighseeing for instance due to they are so popular upon it.
Hihi!
I am very grateful to you! I will pay closer attention to your comments.
i suppose that's a good essay of you, but the words remain relatively simplistic, so if want to get a higher brand for ielts, you must concern more about this and also your lexical resouces as well as ideas
Hi,
I am really happy to be received your helpful comments! I will try my best in the next essays. Hopefully, I could get your comments.

Many people believe that going abroad to study about one country’s customs and traditions is unnecessary nowadays, thanks to the development and variety of media such as books, movies and websites. However, in my opinion, backpacking and travelling is a great way to explore the world, whose experience other means of approaching cannot bring about.

First of all, it is undeniable that books and movies are magnificent ways to explore the world. Not only do both of them contain very specific and selective information about a country, many are also created by very good authors that make them really interesting to read and watch. On the other hand, people can also search for their required information from the internet. Whereas the internet itself contains a huge source of information, it is even faster and more convenient to get information there than from other methods. The only bad thing is that the information there are not selective, so users can many times find themselves misdirected in a chaos.

Despite some advantages, those above means of world-exploring are still not good enough in comparison with traveling. First, when we are backpacking, we can explore the world in a totally different way. We can walk on the ground of England, smell the air of Australia, taste some cuisine of Africa, all such feelings cannot be achieved through a book or a movie. Furthermore, we can have our own judgments, both positive and negative, about what we are studying, in spite of following other authors’ point of view. Last but not least, traveling can bring us many friends from all over the world, from whom we can study directly about the country’s human beings and many other aspects.

In a nutshell, I do believe that traveling is a wonderful experience every person needs to have in their lives. Other means of approaching the world can only serve as reference sources for us to know the place better.

I have some words:
"The only bad thing is that the information there are not selective, so users can many times find themselves misdirected in a chaos" => "The only confusing thing is that the information has not been selected, so users may spend much time doing themselves misdirectedly in a chaos"
Overall, it is very good essay.
oh thank you, i agree that "confusing" is much better than "bad" xD
"In a nutshell " it is not wrong, but it is not high apreciate in an Ielts essay, I will use  " In conclusion or To sum up" instead.

It is seem to have certain thinking that it is possible to learn cultures without moving to their countries, and people are able to study it through distance by books, movies and internet instead. In my point of view, I completely disagree with this concept.

On one hand, to support my idea that it is insufficient to learn a culture by reading books or movies even internet instead of experiencing right in the country of it. Firstly, there is consideration that five human senses make the complete mental feeling to every single person. For instance, it is impossible to feel how hot the desert is, how thirsty or hard when you are current in a desert attempting to walk if someone is sitting on sofa with some snacks and coke watching a movie about it. In addition, it is not possible for persons through reading or watching to have taste and smell of Chinese specific cuisines unless they travel to this country and try those foods themselves. That are explanations why people need to be in a country in order to study about its culture or traditions.

On the other hand, some argue that it is not necessary to move to a native region to learn about country’s culture due to they just have aim of basic knowledge of that country, in order that they have commercial free means of studying about the national culture they wish without hardness of movement or language barrier. So far, this is best choice of someone who just need parts of information of countries’ culture to serve their purpose of education or some things like that, for example.

Overall, it quite depends on intention of research upon some cultures of the world, they will have some eligible methods of studying. But, I still believe that two senses of seeing and hearing among five human senses will not make complete experience of studying a culture, so they need to be pointed in its country for that.

Why don't anyone give me recommendation on my writing?
Hello Hinehika, I am so sorry for the late reply :))) I am just abit busy these days.
Thank you for actively contributing to the page. Below is my comment, if theres anything not clear, pls ask me again (or post it to the FB page).
- It is seem to have certain thinking --> it seems to have....
-  people are able to study it through distance by books, movies and internet -> people are able to "explore them" through books, movies and internet (despite of the distance).
-  to support my idea that it is insufficient to learn a culture by reading books or movies even internet instead of experiencing right in the country of it -->insufficient seems like "not enough of something for consuming",
I suggest using "On one hand, it is impossible that either books or other kind of media help with understanding a culture without experiencing or going to that country.
- Firstly, there is consideration --> firstly, it is said that..
-That are explanations why people need to be in a country in order to study about its culture or traditions. Indeed, these are the explanations for the fact that so many people still want to travel to other countries.
- On the other hand, some argue that it is not necessary to move to a native region to learn about country’s culture due to they just have aim of basic knowledge of that country, in order that they have commercial free means of studying about the national culture they wish without hardness of movement or language barrier  -------------> Run-on sentence, I suggest breaking it into two pieces!
1. On the other hand, some argue that it is not necessary to move to a native region to learn about country’s culture due to they just have aim of basic knowledge of that country ---> On other other hand, some argue...................because they just have to have the basic knowledge of that country.
2. in order that they have commercial free means of studying about the national culture they wish without hardness of movement or language barrier----->Nowadays, there are many commercial free means of culture studying that can help people avoid the harness of traveling or language barrier.
- So far, this is best choice of someone who just need parts of information of countries’ culture to serve their purpose of education or some things like that, for example. ---> No "for example"
- Overall, it quite depends on intention of research upon some cultures of the world, they will have some eligible methods of studying ---> overall, it depends on the personal purpose of research upon some cultures that people have their own eligible methods of studying.
- But, I still believe --> however, I still.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot andyduong, I found useful on your comments. After writing this essay, I saw some basic mistakes like "it is seem". You are all right on all things, but I'm trying to do as native style of English writing, you know, it is quite different from ours. English style doesn't like to use so many "long linking phrases ", for example: "firstly" instead of "firstly, it is ..." because they love condensation. Other one, "insufficient", you know, it is not only use as "consumption", ok, something like this: "naked eyes" (they used in writing) (bare eyes) = "mat tran", they used that way, it is strange.
Finally, thank you so much, I will try to do better, if I can combine the comments you gave and native English style of writing, I think writing score will be really good.
Hey there, its good to hear from you!
I think that you have a really good English speaking skill, thats a good point. However, you also used spoken English in writing sections! LOL ^.^
For TOEFL it does not really matter if you use a bit of spoken Eng for writing, For IELTS, Oops! Maybe they will not like the spoken English at all. =)))))))
Anyway, you have a good nature of brainstorming (which will be your strength when you have to write academic Eng), you just need to "transfer" it into words.
Best Regards,
Andy ^.^
Hi andyduong, you are right. I need "transfer it into words". Thank you a lot :)

“Travel broadens the mind” is an inevitable motto of backpackers who are addicted to exploring new countries. Other people claim that the acquisition of cultural knowledge can be gained through visual materials. I’m totally convinced by the former argument.

First of all, books, films and information provided on the Internet often rely on the viewpoint of an individual or a group of people. It is resulted from the fact that this kind of information is usually edited by editors and scriptwriters, thus accompanies with their limited life experience. Therefore, these sources of information are not objective and comprehensive.

Secondly, travelling helps you to witness real life of the indigenous people, thus, enabling you to have in-depth knowledge of their traditional customs and habits through plenty of occurrences that might arise during your journey. You will realize the difference between what is written on the books and websites and what actually happens in the real world.

Last but not least, participating in daily activities of the locals is the most effectively and lively way to learn about a country’s unique cultural identity. For instant, instead of looking at photos of Japan without real feeling, when visiting Japan, you can wear kimono, eat sushi, enjoying the spectacular scenery of magnificent pagodas, which are much more amusing than those in the photos.

In conclusion, real experiences in a country provide you with more practical knowledge of that nation’s culture than information and images in books, movies or on the internet. Therefore, it’s not surprising that more and more people, especially the youth, pack their belongings on the back and start their exploration to new lands.

Hi hunter writer, your essay is very good writing in this list, but I still have personal thiking about the sequence of it.
In the body, you divide it into 3, the first is bout limitation of learning from books..., the second is simply saying about difference, third is specific example. So, is it better if you make the second and third into stronger one paragraph in order to support the advantage of studying culture in reality? I think with that, it is stronger combination of advantages.
Thanks for your comments. By dividing the body into 3 parts, I'm meant to have 3 distinguished ideas: 1st: limitation of learning from books, .., 2nd: the observation of real indigenous life, 3rd: the involvement in daily activities, the "feeling". Will it be clearer if I change the final sentence of each body paragraph?
Yes, it's great if you do it. Make every single paragraph stronger by emphasis.

Topic IELTS của  tuần này 18/10/2014:

It is argued that it is not necessary to go to other countries to learn cultures. We can learn from books, films and the internet instead . Do you agree or disagree?

Learning cultures from books, television, radio.. had been a heated issue. It is argued that this problem was not good for people. While others belive that this is useful. The essay will indicate a closer look at the issue.

To begin with, learning cultures from other countries has brought many benefits. Needless to say, it provides more knowledge and information. For instance, they could read books, newspapers freely in library. With more and better awareness, people know that news is very good. It is pointing out that to learning from films and the internet are cheaper than another selections, so they will save more money. Moreover, people can have a lot of time to do other things. Similarly, they could be relax at home and have a happy weekend with their parents, their friends.

One can not deny the negative effects which have derived from books , films and newspapers. The most prominent is they will not have a lot of exciting experiences. If people have not gone to other countries then they would not know exactly about life, cultures and people in there.

One could draw the conclusion that, the most of people greatly advocate the idea of learning from books, the internet and films. In the future, people will have the opportunity to go to other countries and know many things about the cultures in the world.

It's good that you used linking words quite reasonably. However, there are a few things that I think i should show you:
1) The most prominent is that (that +clause) they will not bring ( not have) a lot of exciting experiences.
The vocabulary is still quite simple.
It seems that this essay is not structured so well, especially the conclusion

Interests in learning culture motivates people to travel abroad to enrich their knowledge. However, some people argue that instead of going to other countries, we can learn different cultures from books, films and internet. Although it is not necessary to go to other countries to learn about cultures, there are benefits of going to other countries as well as merits of learning from books, films and the Internet.

It is undeniable that books, films and The Internet are great sources to discover and learn about other cultures.  By watching TV and films, we can complement our knowledge about geography and history, as well as other social aspects such as lifestyles and communication. A typical illustration of this is that travel books show readers many interesting destinations worldwide and provide lots of explanation about different cultures and why people should visit there. Furthermore, it is indisputable that using materials on the internet is the best way to learn cultures with the cheapest cost, which helps us save a lot of money, including travel and transportation cost.

On the other hand, travelling abroad gives us opportunities to broaden our knowledge as well as accumulate new experience. Not only does living in other countries give us insight to the other traditions and customs but also also allows us to witness real situations as they occur. For example, the more interaction with native speakers, the higher the probability for us to speak other languages naturally and fluently. In addition, travelling facilitates us to understand ways of life, rituals and practices that are not contained in books, movies or television.

In essence, reading books, watching movies, searching on the Internet or going to other countries all brings many advantages to cultural learners. Personally, I believe that to some extent it depends on an individual's situation and choice that they may favor some ways to approach other cultures.

It is argued that it is not necessary to go to other countries to learn cultures. We can learn from books, films and the internet instead . Do you agree or disagree?

Recently, travel abroad has became a new trend which allows travelers broaden their horizions. However, some people claim that it is not necessary to vistit other foreign countries to study their local cultrues while mass media such as television, radio, the internet and books are available to learn. In my opinion, I partly agree with this ideal.

It could be argured that, travel oversea costs a large mount of money which could spend for other purposes such as paying bills and accommodation. For example, many normal employees have to balance their budgets in order to pay for their daily life, which included gas, electricity, supplies, health insurance and fuel. Therefore, it could be really difficult to travel abroad. One can not deny that, people who have families do not have enough time for an expensive oversea trips, they suppose to take care of their relatives. As a result, travel abroad to study culures and customs are expensive and unneseccary while tourists can study throught websites on the Internet, travel books as well as tv programs. In addition, some people travel to other countries and spend all of time in resorts or hotels for relax, thus, they could not broanden their horizons.

on the other hand, travel abroad not only broadens knowledge but also achieves many effective experiences. For instance, many backpackers have decided to visit VietNam to expand their travel experiences and explore new heritages, because VN has many historical places and hospitality along with many delicious foods which are the most attractive features. Consequently, visiters also enjoy the significant cuisine and join advantural sport such as rock climbing, skiing.   Furthermore, sometimes information provided by fimls or books is incorrect, because of lacking of knoweldge and understanding about the local communities of fiml producers and writers. Hence, oversea trip is a great method which expands knowledge and receives travell experiences.

In conclusion, it can be seen that the benefits of travel abroad totally obviously attract the tourists. If governments and travel agencies creat a friendly and interesting trips in order to influence more visiters the profit from tourism industry will increases.

Hello Thalia, I am very sorry for delaying the reply. Thank you so much for the contribution, here is some of my comments.
- It could be argured that, travel oversea costs a large mount of money which could spend for other purposes such as paying bills and accommodation.
---> There is no need for comma in this sentence.
----> It could be argued that traveling oversea costs a large"amount of money" which "could be spent" for life necessities such as paying bills and accommodation.
 - Therefore, it could be really difficult to travel abroad ---> it could be really difficult to go traveling without a fine budget.
-  One can not deny that.........---> Besides, it is undeniable that.....
- In addition, some people travel to other countries and spend all of time in resorts or hotels for relax, thus, they could not broaden their horizons.
Using " In addition" here might not be strong enough to support yr point, I suggest using: Not mentioning that those go traveling usually spend all the time in resorts or hotels for relax, thus, they could not enlarge their knowledge for culture.
- on the other hand, travel abroad not only broadens knowledge but also achieves many effective experiences.
This sentence, I feel like there is something not right with the subject being used "travel abroad". It lacks of objective. I suggest changing as following
-> Traveling abroad  not only enables us to broaden the knowledge but also gives us many experiences.
-  For instance, many backpackers have decided to visit VietNam to expand their travel experiences and explore new heritages, because VN has many historical places and hospitality along with many delicious foods which are the most attractive features.Consequently, visiters also enjoy the significant cuisine and join advantural sport such as rock climbing, skiing.
This sentence, I might exchange the position of the two phrase as following
- For instance, VN has many historical places and hospitality along with many delicious foods which are the most attractive features. Many backpackers have decided to visit VietNam to enjoy the unique cuisine and explore the adventurous sports such as.....
- Furthermore, sometimes information provided by fimls or books is incorrect, because of lacking of knoweldge and understanding about the local communities of fiml producers and writers.
This sentence, I suggest changing
Furthermore, due to the lack of understanding about local cultures of producers and writers, some of the information provided in books or films could be incorrect.
- Hence, oversea trip is a great method which expands knowledge and receives travell experience --> "method" could be changed into "way to expand knowledge and to get traveling experience".

In general, your essay had shown the understanding of you about the topic. However, I could see some of the mistakes in organizing sentences (which I had mentioned above). And one last thing about the essay is that - the vocabulary. Some of the vocabs have spelling mistakes or being misused. I suggest you should do proof reading before hand so that it could save you some precious marks. (0.5 right?) ^.^

Nowadays, people all over the world are paying more attentions to the reservation and mutual exchange of cultural heritages. It is sometimes supposed that books, films and the Internet will help. However, based on my experiences and observations, I totally disagree with this opinion.

On the one hand, there seems to be an increase in number of people relying on communication media. It is undeniable that these measures would provide audiences with unlimited accessibility to an enormous source of information. Furthermore, book readers and web surfers may find it more straightforward and cost-saving to just stay at home with an encyclopedia or a computer on desk and start to learn cultures.

On the other hand, I believe that reading or assessing Internet is insufficient to have actual experiences for cultural knowledge acquisition. First of all, some cultural beauties can only be enjoyed in person. This is especially the case of traditional foods. To take “Pho”, a reputed Vietnamese dish as an example, there is no magazine or tourism-related website having ability of fully describing the taste, the smell and the comfort of enjoying a hot bowl of “Pho” in an open-air mall. In addition, nothing can compare with the feelings of wandering in a pavement of Oxford city and consistently complementing the unique architectural characteristics of a series of English ancient castles.

In conclusion, no one can define how large the benefits of communication media such as books, films and the Internet will become. Notwithstanding these attractions, from my perspective, they are still unable to replace travelling abroad to learn cultures.

Traditions are different across different countries. Many people suppose that information in books, films and the internet is enough to understand a tradition. In my opinion, specific trails of a culture cannot be discovered only by reading some books or watching some videos. The important reason for the disagreement is that kinds of documents are unable to illustrate some part of a tradition. For example, a book can only present a little bit of a food such as name, picture, ingredients and cooking process. Undoubtedly, there are more features of a dish like smell and taste. These factors are difficultly described because they are different between cookers and eaters. Another reason is variety of traditions and information of them . Obviously, there are many cultures in around the world, each culture has its own particular tradition. In turn, one tradition also includes many areas like food, music, history, literature. It is a fiction for any organization to summarize all of them.in addition, many researcher write and make film about culture with individual view of them. As a result, amount of document is too giant and quality of the products could be outstanding or terrible. The library may confuse people who search the information. The final opinion is that it is tedious to read a book alone. When tourist visit one country they could have chances to participate in festival there. There will be food, folk songs and traditional games for them in these special events. When foreigner join cultural activities with native people, the would understand more about these hosts, the country and memory about the tradition would be deeper. In addition, a trip is a chance for people to relax after busy working day and spend time to care for their family. In conclusion, documents is one way to find information about one culture but experiencing traditional activities by self should be the best way to enjoy a tradition.

Hello every body, I'm new member. This is my essay about this topic. It has many mistakes, so please correct for me. Many thanks!

It is clear that every country has different culture. Going abroad to learn about many cultures is very useful and interesting. So I disagree with this opinion that it is not necessary to go other countries.

Firstly, when we have journeys to different areas, we will acess directly with their people, their food, their habit which are books or films can not inspire adequately. Example, according to food books, we see delicious courses, desserts, but when we go there we will taste real foods.

However, not all people meet any needs to go abroad for trip. Because there is shortage of money or time, we can not do it, we can discover countries all over the world though books, magazines, news, films or Internet instead.

In conclusion, if we have good conditions, we should have journey to abroad to learn about them.

What make a country unique? Maybe it is the native language or people but the most decisive factor is the national culture. Studying culture of different countries can help us understand more about world we are living today. Some people believe we can directly gain this knowledge from books, films or on the internet so that traveling overseas to learn local tradition and people’s lifestyle is not necessary. However I completely disagree with this idea.

It is not reasonable to assume that culture is something easy to learn via books or mass media. Specifically these tools just provide us with words, pictures and videos which help imagine some vital aspects of particular nations or places. In fact, we have simply experienced the given context in our mind and the illusion created by reading books or surfing the internet. It is not the real experience. In order to truly understand the culture of a country we would have to not only walk the streets, have a bite of traditional food but also blend in with native residents and take part in every celebrations that would be happening. For example, visiting a foreign nation, many tourists have been impressed by the beauty and kindness of local people. Afterward, they have decided to spend the rest of their life living in that country, which is such a big decision hardly made by sitting at home digesting information from news report.

In addition, extensive media coverage about travel may mislead. In other words, that news often focuses on the positive appearance and ignores some disappointing aspects of places. This is also a contributing factor in the difficult time that the tourists have suffered. For instance, many people have experienced great culture shock when they first entered a region which has a very contrary religion from their country. Before that, being attracted by what had been mentioned in papers or magazines, they had had no preparations for circumstances.

In short, I would say that although traveling abroad to studying other culture seems to be more inconvenient to carry out than just reading books or getting news at home, this is the best and quickest way to understand a country.

In the past years, there has been enermous change in the way people learn the culture of other country. Despite travelling to other place to learn about its culture, learning from books, films and the internet have become a popular trend. In my opinion, learning in this way offered people so many benefit, but learning by traveling have its advatages too.

It is true that, in recent year, with the booming of technology, people benefit a lot from it, and learn the culture of other people via books, films and the internet is one of its benefits. Using this way of learning, people are no longer spend a large amount of money or time on traveling. They just can stay at home, lying on their bed and reading books or watching films and news on TV or on the Internet. It means that they not only gain their knowledge but relax after a diligent working day as well.

However, travelling is a good option too, people can experience the life of local people in real life, and sometimes, it is by far the immagination of what people learned from books, films and the Internet. Witnessed everythings in person always brings a strong sense of happiness.

In conclusion. Learning from books, films and the Internet is much cheaper and more convinient, but learning from travel can help gain people’s knowledge in a more attractive way. So, people can learn much about other culture by the first way, but if they have a change, learning from travel should be recommended.
