The given diagrams illustrate how a wave-energy machine looks and where it is often located.

 

The first diagram is about the look and how the machine functions. Firstly, there is a blank space underneath the whole system in order to allow water to flow into. Then, the water levels increase inside increase and push the air which later go through a small hole and meets the turbine above and gets out of the machine through a hole on the top. Moreover, there is also air flow outside which gets in to the machine through the air filter above. Consequently, these two air flows allow the turbine blades to move and make the electricity generator work.

 

On the other hand, the second diagrams shows us the places where this machine is constructed with different pros and cons. If we build this near the land, there will be low installation cost. However, the waves here are small, which results in low output. On the contrary, if this machine is located far from the land, the output will definitely be higher due to larger waves despite high installation costs.
