The chart given compares the consumption of fast foods by Australian teenagers between 1975 and 2000

It is obvious that there was an upward trend in the amount of hamburger, fish and chips eaten over the course of 25 years while a reverse pattern can be seen to pizza. Although pizza took the lead, it was exceeded by hamburgers at the end of the survey

Specifically, in 1975, hamburgers was the least desirable fast food, however, the frequency of eating it increased sharply to over 80 in the next 10 years and surpassed pizza to become the most preferable fast food in 2000. Fish and chips followed the same tendency, the popularity of it went up remarkably and reached a peak of 83 in 1995, then remained stable until the end of the survey

In a stark contrast, being the most preferred fast foods consumed by Australian teenagers at the beginning of the the survey, the figure for the consumption of pizza steeply fell in 1980, however it made a recovery to nearly 88 in 1985 before reaching its rock bottom at 40 in 2000
