Visiting other countries has become commonplace in these days. Unfortunately, travelling experiences do not always create happy memories for all. While some people consider their trip as a rewarding activity, others seem to find it unpleasant and dissatisfying, coupling with negative views. I shall explain the reasons behind this circumstance along with some strategies for enjoying a lovely vacation.

People have several causes to be aroused prejudices on things around. Mostly, the reason for this is the geographic cultures which they are definitely harbouring. As soon as they encounter some acts that contradicts their cultural norms, which undeniably result from overseas trips, they would become prejudiced. A western foreigner, for instance, visiting Vietnam would be surprised and discouraged by the way people operate traffic there which is sometimes conducive to accidents. Another reason is that for some minor groups, they tend to uphold their standards firmly and do not settle for any compromises. These do not easily satisfy with anything and hardly seek acceptance of differences.

For those who want to widen their horizons, they should prepare themselves carefully thanks to the internet. Firstly, a comprehensive narrative prevalent in travellers’ blogs could provide insights such as places to eat or visit and how much cash and packing they need to carry. Secondly, they could communicate with local people via globally social network like facebook on the weather and the traffic laws or else. Finally, they should free their minds off anticipation which sometimes lead to high disappointment, regarding the destination country as an unprecedented location unlike any places they might have visited or the place where they live.

In conclusion, people’s holding grudges against unexpected incidents in their old trips is because of conflicting cultural perceptions as well as unwilling to compromise. Therefore, to improve the understanding of other countries for the sake of travelling enjoyment, one should scout for experiences and words from travellers and local people while ease their expectations.
