Some people believe that unpaid community service should be a compulsory part of high school programmes (for example working for a charity, improving the neighbourhood or teaching sports to younger children) To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is thought that voluntary service such as serving for a social charity or collecting garbage around neighborhood had better been a mandatory program in high school. I completely agree with that because of some reasonable reasons.

First of all, participating in unpaid activities always brings the feeling of responsibility for children when directly realizing what has changed around them, which not only helps them to have right awareness of protecting society from vandalism but also shapes their characters. Children will tend not to be nonchalant about natural phenomena and create for themself a perspective of their public behaviors. Besides these advantages, children will learn how to avoid being remiss and good attitudes toward the bad behaviours.

Secondly, voluntary services will provide children with opportunities to communicate with other people from all walks of life. It instills a feeling of sympathy with people with disabilities, which plays an important role in building a character. Many prisoners shared their stories at the time of being in prison, they were given chances to join some voluntary activities such as: taking care of the old, growing vegetable or cooking free lunch for the poor, these activities affected their perspective a lots, they found the meaning of life and knew how to love mutual. As you can see, being a part of voluntary activities is an effective method of educating children without a word.

In conclusion, we can’t deny the benefits of compulsory voluntary community service although there are some existing drawbacks of this program. According to reasons above, we should arm children with opportunities of developing soft skills, discerning the much more aspects of life.

Lovely essay ^^

However, I still find it kinda stiff in the body. As I read, I came to an assumption that: you main reason for this is mainly about students' character building. It's all about mental. You should trynna find a different aspect of exploring the statement (like how student improve their physical health, or how will others feel about students' acts of voluntary?), to improve the essay itself, and also, improve your skills.
