The bar chart illustrates seven divergent reasons that answer the question “why do people decide to study”. The pie chart displays the data relevant to sharing the expenditure of the mature course.

Overall, the number of answers relating to the interest in subject and qualifications is the most popuplar when people are asked about the reasons why mature one decide to study while that relevant to the change of jobs and the chance to meet others is the least widespead. In term of costs of the course, of three mentioned fators, the idea received the most support is that the individuals should share the most expenditure on each course .

According to the given figure shown in the first chart, people have more tendency of studying for their interest in subject and the opportunity to gain the qualifications, amounting to 40% and 38% respectively, which is twice more than the reasons which associate with improving prospects of promotion and the pleasure about learning (with 20%). Meanwhile, when people decide to study the chance to change jobs and meet people are the two least popular reasons, with only 12% and 9%.

In terms of sharing the costs of adult education, many people suppose that the individual need to share more proportion of expenditure on each course, making up 40%. The second place belongs to the employer, which amounts to 35%. It followed by the taxpayer, with 25%.
