Some people believe that there should be a fixed punishment for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment.

Whether fixed punishments should be carried for each particular type of crime or not has been a controversial issue. While the predetermination of a punishment is believed to be beneficial by a part of the population, others may argue that the situations and motives of a single crime should be taken into consideration before imposing a sentence. Personally I believe that it would be better to have fixed punishemnts for each type of crime.

This essay shall start by discussing the view of variable penalties based one factors which are related to a crime. One of the most important reasons to consider a change in punishments is moral values. In other words, the ablilites to serve a sentence such as health, age or gender may be taken into account. For example, a maternity women is not healthy enough to live in such as poor condition in prison.

Turning to the other side of the arguments, however, predetermined punishments should be imposed. The first reason for advocating this idea is that fixed punishemnts can be used as a way of deterrence. If an individual knows for certain what they have to receive as a result of their illegal acting, they may have no intention of committing a cirme. Therefore, punishments which are already fixed can contribute to the decrease in crime rates.

Another major benefit of mandantory penalties is that the act of getting away with imprisonment by contrivance such as using money to bribe judges or offering excuses might be avoidable.Under no circumstance can a criminal escape from being punished. Killing a person in self-defence can be taken as a typical example for someone in order to exempt from a penalty. However, they may be able to knock the attacker unconsciously instead of murdering him or her.

In conclusion, although a large number of citizens are in favor of unfixed punishements because they feel morally obliged to consider external factors of a crime, great advantages of fixed punishments seem to be undeniable. They help to reduce the number of lawbreakers and ensure the practice of highly explicit laws.

-> Well I think that sentence is more suitable to be written in the introduction, about what you will mention in the essay.

If you express your opinion already so I think it should be mentioned in the body in a different way
