Essay topics: Some people think the best way to reduce crime is by giving longer prison sentence. Other, however, think there are better alternative ways to reduce it.

Curently , criminal proplem is the top concern for families as well as the society. It is universally believed that criminals should be put longer in jail in order to reduce the number of crime, while the others think that there are a lot of ways to decline crime. This essay will discuss this issue. From my point of view, it depends on what kind of crime is to decide to punishment.

    To begin with, I think that, law-markers should make more severe law policies to punish law-breakers, especially serious crime should be rejected from the society and isolate from public such as willful murders, trading drug and viscera, especially craping women and children, it means that they have to give life imprisonment, even death sentence.

    Nevertheless, public also give opportunity to crime can reform their life and to atone for their sins to some crimes such as unintentional homicide, theft and so on. In my opinion, one of the ways reducing crime is that parents and educator need to educate sudents avoidance society’s vices. Besides, parents always take care and follow up their kids. Moreover, on top of this, the government should invest in state-of- the-art equipments as security camera to set at residential areas, roads and public places. Finally, the government also need to increase heavier punishment to several violation like smuggling and corruption.

    In conclusion, there are a lot of ways to reduce crime, and I think that everyone should forgive crimes who have less serious offences so that they can return to the community.
