The line graph illustrates the proportion of people who had access to the Internet in America, Canada and Mexico between 1999 and 2009.

Overall, the trend in using the Internet of American, Canadian and Mexican people was obviously upward.

In 1990, America experienced the highest percentage of Internet users, about 20%, followed by Canada and Mexico with 10% and 5% respectively. During the period from 1999 to 2005, the figure in America and Canada increased dramatically and reached the same value at about 70% in 2005 compared to about 25% of that in Mexico.

By 2005, the proportion of people surfing the Internet in Canada hit the highest point at almost 100%, in compared with 80% of Americans and only 40% of Mexican.

To sum up, there was a large change in the percentage of Internet users during the period of 10 years (1999-2009) which might indicate the increasing role of Internet in this 3 countries.
