It is undeniable that it is better for children to begin learning foreign language at primary school rather than secondary school. This essay will examine the merits and demerits.
There are some plus points of such a trend. First of all, children whose age range from 6 to 12 study foreign language are faster. Clearly enough, children are expose to information at this age which their brains are still empty and alert to absorb the new language. Another point to mention is that knowing foreign language as much as possible is big benefit for children. Evidently, foreign language play pivotal role in society nowadays. It makes a better future for children's life if they want to high salary or good promotion.
However, some adverse effects are inevitable. To begin with, studying other language at primary school is not necessary. Undoubtedly, children need to forcus on main subjects such as math, science, especially mothertounge language. How children are good at foreign languagge when they are very bad at their mothertounge language. Hence, learning foreign language is wasting time. A further point which is worth taking into account is that children will loss their childhood due to studying too much. Obviously, young children have to study too hard, their spend most of time for learning. Thus, their childhood are not worth than it must to be. Last but not least, the fee for learning foreign language are very expensive. That is the reason why some parents cannot give their children to study foreign language.
