Task 1: Water filter

Topic: The diagram below shows simple systems that turn dirty water into clean water. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram shows the system of water filter using a barrel and a drum, a pipe and taps.

First, the drum and barrel are placed side by side. The barrel is higher than the drum. They are connected by a pipe that runs water from the barrel to the drum. Next, the filter system is made by adding sand, charcoal, and gravel to the barrel. Finally, a tap is fixed in the bottom of the drum.

The process begins when the dirty water is poured into the barrel. After that, the dirty thing in water goes down to the bottom which contains the material for cleaning water such as sand, charcoal and gravel. The pure water is going up to the pipe into the drum. So, we can get the water for drinking after opening the tap.

The system shows how to make the clean water from the nature water and what the equipment we use to make it in the simplest way.
