In this modern life, living independent is a prominent tendency for young people. Some pragmatists argue that it is a positive development. However, I believe that there are many negative aspects attached to it. The article below will show these disadvantages.
To begin with, it can be clearly seen that people who live away from their families may encounter situations that could adversely affect their lives. These people are more likely to become criminals when exposed to bad behavior and dangerous activities, which can jeopardize their careers or distract them from moral values. In fact, in recent years, the proportion of young people in debt and committing murder to rob property due to gambling addiction, betting on football sets,... has increased. On the contrary, this is less likely to happen when they live with their families.
Furthermore, it is apparent that living alone sometimes could lead to depression. Whenever a person falls into a state of stress or faces some extreme situation in life, they do not have anyone by them side to share and inspire. This would suffer metal inhibition and desperation as a result. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), they estimate that about 350 million people are affected by depresstion globally in which 40% are teenagers. This clearly shows that being alone is easy to increase stress levels and face health problems.
Those who are in favour of living alone might argue that living independently provides them with the opportunity to live the life they want and make any decisions on their own. For example, it is possible to decorate the house according to their preferences, or have fun without a curfew as at home. However, people who live alone often feel alienated from society. Due to not interacting with other people, they tend to become a introvert person and do not achieve cooperative relationships with their colleagues or neighbours.
In summary, the preferences of today's generation to live alone are considered negative. Some people belive that living alone brings about many benefits to achieve their success easier, however, it affects seriously to their mental health and deteriorate morality values.
