The bar chart compares three different type of media, namely social networking, microblogging and radio, in term of used to acquire daily news by age group in 2011. The initial impression when looking at the bar chart is that all type of media tend to increase under the age of 30. Then gradually decrease the rate of media use to update news at the age of 30 and older.

As can be seen from the chart, the number of people using radio as a means of daily news updates is predominant. From the age of 10 to 17 reached 40 percent. Then rose sharply to more than 90 percent at the age of 18 to 29. It is clear that, radio is favored and used by many people of all ages, higher than other methods. But then, it declines slightly after the age of 30, down to approximately 85 percent.

Social networking is the second most used broadcasting after radio. With ages 10 to 29 being the most accessed information, accounting for 80 percent. By contrast, the percentage of social networking users among the following age bracket has tended to diminish rapidly to only 25 percent. Microblogging has a similar pattern to radio, slightly intensification between the ages of 10 and 29, the continued to decline but negliglible from 20 percent to 10 percent.
