In modern society, more often than not, environment-related issues and health problems have confronted scientists, government agencies, and the general public. They have also sparked off heated controversies over whether people should spend more money on medical research than on environmental solving. For me, both of them need to be equally paid attention to by everyone in the world.

With the development of technology and living standard, the demand for better medical care are soaring over worldwide; and it has recently become one of the top concerns in developed countries. People are requiring more efficient cures for some serious diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular problems,..etc, which need more medical research that often costs a lot of money. Take the American pharmacy industry as an example, it is reported that in 2019, they injected total 2 billion dollars to produce medicines for just inland markets.

However, it does not mean that we should belittle environmental problems and spend less on them. On the contrary, it is essential to pay the same money and make an equal effort to these problems. It is universally acknowledged that our environment is getting worse day by day due to the overexploitation of natural resources and inadequately strong and effective treasures that governments are using, which caused a multitude of problems for people around the world. For example, the recent snowstorm, which is believed to be a consequence of global warming, in Texas, America led to the death of nearly 1000 citizens, caused about 200 million dollars of damage to the domain economy, and also raised alarm bells of the seriousness of global warming. For another, the environment is also heavily related to our health as the cleaner the habitat is, the healthier health we have, so improving the environment is a measure for better health.

In conclusion, both medical improvement and environmental resolving are the main human acquisition and we should spend more effort and money on them.
