Question

IELTS Writing Task 2: 'parental roles' essay These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

 

Nowadays, one social trend is happening, when more fathers become househusbands who stay at home and take childcare responsibility, more mothers than ever work to share the financial burden. There are some reasons for this progress. In my view of point, it is the merit of development.

 
One of reasons for the trend I said above is equal rights movement. Women are not put under press have to leave their jobs as before, they can continue gain qualification and pursue careers after their marriage. And with changes in civil society, it has also become normal when men take housework’s role. Moreover, the cost of living have been rising recently, it makes both parents have to go out to work to share breadwinner’s responsibility about finance.    

 

Therefore, I think it is positive progress in our society. Couple have been free to take parental roles , in detail, decided who left their jobs to take care of children and who  continues work outside depending on preferable personal of each partner and the person earns more . Beside that, it seems to be fair  when fathers have ready left their jobs to assume childcare’s role , if they want.

To sum up, the change of women’s role in the family can be the result of society development, it is worthwhile trend .

One of reasons for the trend I said above is equal rights movement, the gap between men and women in sex discrimination is reducing.  Women are not put under press have to leave their jobs as before, they can continue gain qualification and pursue careers after their marriage. Sex equality makes both parents have the right to embark on their dream, I think it is really great to build happy family. Moreover, with changes in civil society, it has also become normal when men take housework’s role. Other reason is  the rising cost of living recently, it makes both parents have to go out to work to share breadwinner’s responsibility about finance.    

 

I think it is positive progress in our society, this is raising mother’s voice on strengthen family, indirectly improving the situation of domestic violent nowadays . In which couple can discuss equally to free to take parental roles , in detail, both of them would decide who left their jobs to take care of children and who  continues work outside depending on preferable personal of each partner and the person earns more . Beside that, it seems to be fair  when fathers have ready left their jobs to assume childcare’s role , if this is they want.

To sum up, the change of women’s role in the family can be the result of society development, it is worthwhile trend .
