These days, despite the development of many big cities in the world, there is a decrease in the quality of life. This essay will discuss the causes of this problem and suggest some solutions.
To begin with, there are two main reasons which lead to life decrease. Firstly, the overpopulation in some rural areas has brought many adverse effects to people’s life. To be more specific, when there is gradual increase of population, there will be considerable growth in the number of transportation such as cars or motorbikes and in the amount of garbage from citizens. And as a consequence, pollution might be caused, which probably has a negative impact on people’s life. Furthermore, over population is also a reason for the overload in schools, hospitals and public places, which also reduces quality of life in the cities. Secondly, the modern society and the hectic life in many big cities sometime brings to people stress, depression and diseases, which contributes to the lower quality of people’s health than in the past.
It is vital that action is taken to combat this problem. Not only should governments ensure that adequate policies and legislation are in place that can control birthrate but they should also improve the infrastructure of public works such as parks, stations, hospitals, etc. Parents also have a part to play. They should have family planning in order to stop over population. Each individual must also give a hand to protect the environment. For instance, people should use public transports instead if private transports.
In brief, the lessening in quality of life in big cities is result from several factors, but measures are available to tackle this problem.
