Overall, there was an upward trend in using the Internet over the period of time. Additionally, Denmark and Canada had more users than other countries.
Looking at the graph more closely, the number of Internet users in Denmark roughly quadrupled over the 15-year period, from 23000 to 94000. In 1998, it had the second-highest number of Internet users, but it had surpassed Canada by 2003. While growth after 2003 for Canada was slow, the number of people accessing the Internet rose by more than threefold from 1998 to 2013.
By contrast, the number of Internet users in Greece increased by 20000 every five years. Although the world average number of Internet users moved from 3000 to 35000, the gap between it and the three countries included in the chart had widened at the end of the period in question
