In our lives, libraries are very familiar, especially in campus life. Not only adults but also students can understand their crucial roles. Unfortunately, some people think that maintaining public libraries is a waste of money since computer technology can replace theirs functions. This essay will discuss both kind and will give the final opinion.
First of all, there are a plethora of reasons why we should continue to use the public libraries’ resources. Specifically, the information provided by the libraries are very reliable. In addition, users don’t have to worry about the origins of them because all the books are authentic. Moreover, the environments of the public libraries will help us focus on the assignments or homework. For instance, if we surf the Internet to look up for information, we will somehow get distract by commercials and messages.
On the other hand, a large number of individuals strongly believe that computer technology can replace public libraries’ functions. According to some students, they feel that using technology is more convenience. For example, we don’t have to waste enormous of time for finding the right book in the library. All we have to do is search the keywords and a plethora of information will appear. Furthermore, we can save a tons of money as more and more people tend to use internet to do the research instead of the libraries. Additionally, by maintaining public libraries, the governments will seem to waste a fortune.
In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the idea that computer technology can replace public libraries. Thus, people should use the libraries to enrich their knowledge instead of technology.
