Table : https://cdn.englishforums.com/image:/sitefs/perm/pi/4/s/z/r/4/401.598.0_rtbmxxm7txsh.png

The tables compare the amount of coffee and the number of bananas purchased under the fairtrade label in five distinct nations between 1999 and 2004.

Overall, both coffee and banana sales grew in almost all five countries in Europe in 2004, as compared to those in 1999. Moreover, while the UK was ranked top in the amount of coffee purchased, Switzerland was the best country of banana sales in 2004.

In terms of coffee, the UK sold 1.5 millions of Euros in 1999. The figure then rose tremendously five years later to 20 millions of Euros. Being the second largest coffee provider, Switzerland also experienced a significant growth, climbing from 3 millions in 1999 to 6 millions in 2004. The other three European countries, however, sold only 2, 1.7, and 1 million(s) of Euro respectively in the same year, although they also witnessed moderate upward trends.

As regards to bananas, Switzerland outnumbered other European countries in the number of bananas purchased in both given years (15 millions in 1999 and 47 millions in 2004). Likewise, there were dramatic increases in the sales of bananas from both the UK and Belgium, rising from 1 million and 0.6 million in 1999 to 5.5 millions and 4 millions in 2004 respectively. By contrast, the other two countries saw moderate drops, with merely 1 million for Sweden and 0.9 million for Denmark in 2004.

The tables compare the amount of coffee and the number of bananas[W1]  purchased under the fairtrade label in five distinct nations between 1999 and 2004.

Overall, both coffee and banana sales grew in almost all five countries in Europe in 2004[W2] , as compared to those in 1999[W3] . Moreover, while the UK was ranked top in the amount of coffee purchased[W4] , Switzerland was the best [W5] country of banana sales in 2004.

In terms of coffee, the UK sold 1.5 millions of Euros in 1999. The figure then rose tremendously five years later to 20 millions[W6]  of Euros. Being the second largest coffee provider, Switzerland also experienced a significant growth, climbing from 3 millions in 1999 to 6 millions in 2004[W7] . The other[W8]  three European countries, however, sold only 2, 1.7, and 1 million(s) of Euro respectively in the same year[W9] , although they also witnessed moderate upward trends[W10] .

As regards to bananas
[W11] , Switzerland outnumbered other European countries in the number of bananas purchased in both given years[W12]  (15 millions in 1999 and 47 millions in 2004). Likewise, there were dramatic increases[W13]  in the sales of bananas from both the UK and Belgium, rising from 1 million and 0.6 million in 1999 to 5.5 millions and 4 millions in 2004 respectively. By contrast, the other two countries saw moderate drops, with merely 1 million for Sweden and 0.9 million for Denmark in 2004.

[W1]Expression error: the unit is ‘sales’, must use the words are equivalent, ex: the amount of money, revenue or turnover etc

[W2]Expression error: 5 countries or 4 countries it is countable noun, you need to search ‘how to use almost ‘

[W3]Grammar error:  ‘compared to ‘ is enough, just eliminate ‘as’. ‘ Those and in’ are two preposition, it can not stand together

  • Compared to the revenue in 1999

[W4]Vocabulary error: purchase (verb( to buy something. => sold out

[W5]Expression error: you depict the table, you use ‘the best’ it is very weird and inappropriate

[W6]Experience error: Over the following 5 year, the figure rose tremendously to 20 millions.

[W7]Expression error: The second largest coffee provider was Switzerland which experienced a significant growth

[W8]The other just use  when you mention two subjects, use dictionary to figure it out

[W9]Expression suggestion:  The revenue of remaining nations, including Denmark, Belgium and Sweden are 2, 1.7 and 1 million correspondingly

[W10]Expression error: Sorry I donot get what you means

[W11]Grammar error: regarding to banana’s sales or according to banana‘s  sales

[W12]Expression suggestion:  Switzerland was highest, compared to rest of nations.

 [W13]Grammar error: correct ‘ a dramatic increase.
