According to the chart, people in all countries spend most on Food, Drinks and Tobacco. With 32.14% of consuption, Turkey had the most percentage, following by Ireland with nearly 29%. The country with lowest percentage in this category was Italy at 16.36%. However, consumer expenditure on Food, Drinks and Tobacco in Italy was higher than any figures of the other 2 categories.

In contrast to the figure for the last items, the highest proportion of Clothing and Footwear went on Italy at 9%. The gap between the percentage of Italy and Sweden – country with lowest spending on clothing and footwear  - was approximately 3.50%.

Expenditure on leisure activities and education seemed to be low as not many people spend as much on them as on the other items. Turkey was the country with most proportion of only more than 4%, whereas Spain spent the least with the figure of about 2% overall.
