The table compares the number of Venezualian victims of different offence categories who belonged to 5 age groups in 1999. Overall, the highest number was for people robbed at 9680, followed by that of kidnapping representing the rate of 233. The next positions belonged to figure for blackmail and murder’s victims, at 223 and 162, respectively. The number of people neglected stood last at 54. Moreover, the number of victims coming from the oldest age group was the lowest.
With regard to the number of the Venezuelan murdered, the figure of 25-44 years old citizens was highest at 72, meanwhile, that of who aging 0- 14 and 65 or over was lowest, ranging from 13 to 14 people. However, the 0- 14 years old was neglected and kidnapped mostly, at 39 for the former and 110 for the latter. It is interesting that no one from the 25- 44 age group was the victim of negligence. While youngsters whose age was from 15 to 24 were the mostly robbed figures, there were 89 victims belonging to the 25- 44 age group being blackmailed.
