These data sources clearly communicate the number of time that people in the UK spent on using telephone, seperated into three call types, between 1995 and 2002.
It can be seen that people in the UK spent most their time in local calls during the period. Also, there were significant raises in two others calls.
In 1995, very few people used mobile phone for calling, they spent approximatly 2 billions minutes.Meanwhile, they spent roughly 38 billions minutes in using national and international calls, and this number was nearly doubled with local calls, about 72 billion minute.In the first five years' time, the number of people using telephone for local calls continued a stable climb with slightly acceleration. After that period, this number felt from a high of 90 billions minutes calls and went back its origin in 2002.
The number of minutes of national and international calls rose slightly and steadily during the period of the data. It reached its peak at 61 billions minutes calls in 2002. Meanwhile, in the first 5-year of the period, there was a slight acceleration in mobile phones users. In 1999, this number rose and reached about 12 billions minutes. And it abruptly tripled in next 4 years, roughly 38 billions minutes.
