Overall, the trends in the birth rates were similar in term of general change. It both decreased in 80 year but the birth rates of USA was higher than of China in most years.
During 15 years since 1920, the birth rates in China fluctuated in ranges from 10 to 15 percent. However, there was a sudden fluctuation 45 years later. The birth rates dived from 15% to 5%. It leveled off for 5 years later and improved from 5% to 20% next 5 years. Moreover, between 1950 and 1980, it declined from 20% to 2,5%. And it varied for 20 years later. In 2000, the birth rates of China was 2%.
In the same time, the birth rate of USA wasn’t bigger than in China. From 1920 to 1940, it fluctuated in 12% before plummeting in next 5 years. After that, the birth rates recovered quickly from 5% to 15% for 10 years later. In last 50 year, the general trend was fell and in 2000, the birth rates of USA was 7%.
