Every day, millions of tons of food are wasted all over the world. Why do you think this is
happening? And how can we solve this problem?

Recently, there are a large amount of food wasted that should be diminished. This is one of the controversial problem. This essay will look at causes and measures of this issue.

Firstly, as the technology of producing food has improved, the production volume has increased dramatically that may exceed the demand level, which need to be rebalanced. To be illustration, food is provided in supermarket with large amount compared to smaller the consumption levels. Secondly, some types of food will not remain for a long time if they are not preserved by the right way. For example, fresh pork must be put the icebox.  Food out of expired date will be spoiled. Some busy families may buy a vast amount of food can be easier to out of expired period. Now food industry has developed rapidly in term of encouraging people to use more food. Televisions movie now broadcast many food programs to promote their food brands with flavorful taste which encourage people to buy food more food to satisfy their mouth but after realizing the flavor that are different from their expectation, these people have tendency to dispose the food.

There are some measures that can deter consumer from wasting food. Government need to develop public awareness of the waste of food. This can be appeared on the news or television programs to draw the public attention on the problem.  Moreover, heavy tax also a measure that can raise the price of food. By doing this, people can keep more attention to their buying behavior. The production of food need to rebalance with the demand which base on market research. For instance, supermarket director can sell more pork than chicken if pork is selling fast. Therefore, government can decrease the amount of wasted food.

In conclusion, it is clear that the amount wasting food must be restricted as much as possible. I hope in the near future, people can consume all the food they buy instead throwing it away.

Well its expensive , you either have to buy food or grow it yourself. Any waste is undesired as you put effort in to growing the food, or effort in to working to earn money to buy the food. Many people are poor , even hungry , and in some parts of the world starving. The worlds resources are limited , food is often transported half way around the world and if we then buy too much food and just throw it away - its causing unnecessary pollution from transport for the world.
