A good friend is alike a four leaves clover, is hard to find and lucky to have. As we know, human kind needs to have at least one friend. Some people prefer to keep old friend instead of making new ones, while others maintain the opposite view. As far as I am concerned, the former point carries more weight. I take this view on account of the following reason.
First, there is a proverb that says, ''A friend in need is a friend indeed.'' This saying states that a real friend helps you to solve your problems in hard circumstances. To clarify my statement, an individual have spent an amount of time with his or her old finds whom knows them deeply and experience variety of situations and conditions with them. To prove this point with an example, my childhood friends and I grow up together; we attended the same university, and event we were roommates in the dormitory. We have laughed and cried together. When one of us have has problems, all of us have tried to fine a few remedies for those. On the other hand, you cannot rely on your friend in emergency situation whom have been made friend with you just a few weeks.
Moreover, it takes a lot of time to know a person. people have different beliefs, habit, rule for themselves, and behaviors. To put generally my words, after passing some years and making a few mistakes, friends know each other deeply and find out about their ''red lines''. Furthermore they know the weakness of one another. As a result of that, they have respect each other and try to strengthen each other that it leads they to be more sincere than new friends.
All in all, I personally desire to keep my old friend instead of making new ones. Not only are they helpful, but also they are more sincere. Let us take more about our old friends and call regularity to them in order not to lose them.
