Topic: Some people think that the increasing use of computers and mobile phones in communication has had negative effect on young people's reading and writting skills. To what extend  do you agree or disagree with this statement?

According to the soaring ultilization of computers and mobile phones in communication thesedays, some people argued that this has had an adverse influence on young people's reading and writting skills whilst I partly disagree.

On one hand, it is undeniable that there are some considerable reasons to the forementioned notion. With the prominent of texting and video chatting, shortened sentences and informal talk through phones and computer screens might have made some younger people forget the proper way of writting. For example, teenagers who spent lots of time chatting on electrical devices tend to make some grammar mistakes in their writting like writting unappropriate chat language abbreviations. Nonetheless, too much focus on communicating through electrical screen makes people neglect the traditional reading habbits, therefore lacking necessary reading skills.

On the other hand, although the reasons mentioned above are true, I on the contrary, still strongly believe far distance interacting through those devices can also bring benefits to the younger generation. A few grammar mistakes that every students occasionally made are not really noticable. Additionally, there are other technological-gadgets-based communication methods that encourage individual's both writting and reading skills. Take e-mail for instance, conversations by e-mail are in most cases, very formal, thus help people to constantly practice and enhance those crutial skills.

In conclusion, the surging rate of communication through computers and phones does not necessarily have bad consequences on youngster's writting and reading skills for there are ways that actually benefitial to them.
